How to use

  1. Add each product with its total annual sales value (units sold x price).
  2. The table ranks products and assigns A, B or C automatically.
  3. Read the class summary and chart to see where your value sits.
  4. Press Export CSV to download the analysis for Excel or Google Sheets.

Tips

  • Class A items deserve tight control: frequent counts, accurate records, careful ordering.
  • Class C items need simple rules — review them rarely and avoid stockouts only for critical ones.
  • Redo the analysis every 6 to 12 months because product value shifts over time.
  • Use annual consumption value, not unit count — one expensive item can outrank many cheap ones.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

What is ABC inventory analysis?

It ranks products by annual sales value. Class A items are the most valuable and need tight control, class B items are medium, and class C items are the long tail of low value items.

What do I enter for each product?

The product name and its annual sales value. The tool sorts everything from highest to lowest value and assigns the A, B and C classes itself.

How are the A, B and C classes decided?

Products are sorted from highest to lowest value. The top items up to 80 percent of total value become class A, the next up to 95 percent become class B, and the rest are class C.

Can I try it with sample data?

Yes. Press Load sample data to see a full example analysis before entering your own products.

Can I download the analysis?

Yes. Press Export CSV to download a spreadsheet with every product, its class, value and share of total, ready to open in Excel or Google Sheets.
