Selection settings

If seats are set, the top candidates by seats fill the selected list even below the cutoff; otherwise the cutoff decides.

Ranked merit list

Add applicants and the ranked list will appear here.

How to use

  1. Add each applicant with academic percentage, and test score plus weightage if you use an entry test.
  2. Set the cutoff aggregate, and the seats available if seats are limited.
  3. The ranked list appears with aggregate scores, merit positions, selected and waiting lists.
  4. Press Print merit list for a clean table.

Note: This is an estimate. Aggregate = academic % x (100 - test weightage) / 100 + test score % x test weightage / 100. Ties share the same merit position.

Tips

  • Keep the weightage the same for all applicants so the ranking stays fair.
  • Enter percentages, not raw marks, so results from different boards compare correctly.
  • Save the printed list as PDF from the browser print dialog for your admission records.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

How is the aggregate score calculated?

Aggregate equals the academic percentage times the remaining weight plus the test score times the test weightage. Without a test score, the aggregate equals the academic percentage.

What do I enter for each applicant?

The applicant name, the academic percentage, and optionally the test score with its weightage.

How do selected and waiting lists work?

Set a cutoff aggregate or a number of seats. Applicants at or above the cutoff are selected; the rest appear on the waiting list in merit order. If seats are set, the top candidates by seats fill the selected list even below the cutoff.

What happens when two applicants tie?

Tied applicants share the same merit position and are listed together.

Can I print the merit list?

Yes. Press Print merit list to print a clean ranked table with positions, aggregates and selected or waiting status.
