How to use

  1. Enter your glucose value and pick the unit you measured in (mg/dL or mmol/L).
  2. Choose when you measured: fasting, before a meal, after a meal, or at bedtime. The date and time default to now.
  3. Press Add reading. Your entry is saved in this browser and appears newest first.
  4. Use the unit toggle to redisplay all readings in the other unit; conversions are automatic.
  5. Press Export CSV to download your log as a spreadsheet file for your records.

Status bands used

Status is a rough guide based on common reference ranges, shown on the mg/dL scale:

  • Fasting / before meal / bedtime: below 100 = normal, 100–125 = elevated, above 125 = high.
  • After meal: below 140 = normal, 140–199 = elevated, above 199 = high.

These are general ranges only and may not match your personal targets. Your doctor sets the targets that are right for you.

Your data stays with you

Readings are saved in your browser's local storage on this device. Nothing is sent to a server, and clearing your browser data removes the log.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

What does the Blood Sugar Log do?

It keeps a personal logbook of your blood glucose readings with date, time, measurement unit and meal context, and shows status badges, averages and a simple trend chart.

Which units are supported?

Both mg/dL and mmol/L are supported. You can switch the display unit at any time and the tool converts all readings automatically using 1 mmol/L = 18 mg/dL.

How are the status badges decided?

Fasting, before-meal and bedtime readings are normal below 100 mg/dL, elevated between 100 and 125, and high above 125. After-meal readings are normal below 140, elevated between 140 and 199, and high above 199.

Can I export my readings?

Yes. The Export CSV button downloads all your readings as a spreadsheet-compatible file that you can share with your doctor.

Is this tool medical advice?

No. This tool is for general information and personal record keeping only. It is not medical advice — always talk to your doctor about your blood sugar levels.
