How to use
- Select the first (old) PDF in the first box and the second (new) PDF in the other box — drag & drop works too.
- When both files are loaded, press Compare PDFs.
- See the stats above: how many words were added, how many were removed, and how many stayed the same.
- Read the differences in the highlighted text below; the full text of both files is also shown side by side.
Tips
- For clean results, compare PDFs with selectable text — scanned images can only be compared as images.
- Small wording edits are easiest to spot in the added/deleted highlight view.
- Check the stats bar first; it shows at a glance how much changed.
- Files are processed in your browser, so contract drafts stay private.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
How does the PDF comparison work?
It compares the text of two PDF files and highlights added words in green and deleted words in red, with full word-level stats.
Does it catch image or layout differences?
No. The tool is honest about this: it only compares text, so differences in images, layout or formatting will not be caught.
What about scanned PDFs?
Scanned PDFs have no text layer and will give empty text. Use the Image to Text (OCR) tool first for those.
Are my PDF files private?
Yes. There is no signup and no upload; both files stay in your browser.
Is the tool free?
Yes. It is free.
