- Confirm the business date at the top; change it to view or edit a past day.
- For each sale, enter the item, quantity, unit price and payment mode, then click Add sale.
- Use the delete button in the table to remove a wrongly entered sale.
- Click Close day at the end of the day to see collected cash versus credit still owed.
- Click Export day to get a plain-text summary you can copy into WhatsApp or your records.
Credit sales count toward gross sales but not toward collected cash until the customer actually pays you.
Tips
- Enter sales as they happen so nothing is forgotten at closing time.
- Use credit mode for customers who pay later; the outstanding figure tells you what to collect.
- Double-check the unit price before adding bulk items with large quantities.
- Export and save the text summary somewhere safe if you clear old days.
Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
How does the daily sales ledger work?
Pick a date, then add each sale with the item description, quantity, unit price and payment mode. The ledger shows every entry in a table with live totals for gross sales, each payment mode, and the number of transactions.
What does the Close day summary show?
Close day shows the total amount actually collected in cash and bank transfers versus the amount still outstanding on credit, so you know exactly what cash came in and what is still owed to you.
Can I look at a previous day?
Yes. Entries are stored separately for each date. Changing the date selector loads that day's entries, so you can review or edit any past day.
Is my sales data stored online?
No. All entries stay in your browser's localStorage on this device only. Nothing is uploaded to a server.
