Encrypted Notes
Write notes that only your password can open. Each note is encrypted with AES-256 before it is saved in this browser — without the password, the stored data is unreadable.
Unlock your notes
First time here: just pick a password and press Unlock to create your vault. Returning: enter the same password. If you forget it, the notes cannot be recovered — the password is never stored.

How to use
- Enter a master password and press Unlock.
- Write a title and text, then press Save Encrypted Note.
- Your note appears in the list on the left. Click a note to read or edit it.
- Press Lock Vault when you are done to hide everything.
Note: Encryption uses AES-256-GCM with a key derived from your password (PBKDF2, 100,000 rounds). Each note gets its own random salt and IV.
Tips
- Use a long, memorable master password — it is the only key to your notes.
- Lock the vault when you step away from the computer.
- Notes are stored only on this device and this browser.
Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
How are my notes encrypted?
Each note is encrypted with AES-256-GCM. The key is derived from your password with PBKDF2 and 100,000 rounds. Only the encrypted text is stored in your browser.
What happens if I forget my password?
There is no way to recover the notes. The password is never stored anywhere, so a forgotten password means the encrypted notes cannot be decrypted.
Where are the notes saved?
In your own browser storage on this device. Clear your browser data and the encrypted notes will be gone.
What does Lock Vault do?
It hides all your notes immediately. They stay encrypted in browser storage and can only be seen again after unlocking with the same master password.
