Extract PDF Attachments
Some PDFs carry hidden cargo: spreadsheets, images or documents embedded inside the file. This tool finds every attached file in your PDF, shows each name and size in a list, and lets you download each one separately — all in your browser, nothing uploaded.
Note: some PDFs keep attachments in "portfolio" or encrypted streams that cannot be extracted. For a password-protected PDF, remove the password first.
How to use
- Select a PDF file that has embedded files — portfolio PDFs and forms often do.
- Press the Extract Attachments button and wait for the list to appear.
- Check each file's name and size in the list to see what is inside the PDF.
- Press Download next to each attachment you want to save.
Tips
- Most PDFs have no attachments at all — an empty list simply means there is nothing hidden inside.
- Images shown on a page are not attachments; for those, use the Extract Images from PDF tool instead.
- If a downloaded attachment looks wrong, re-extract it and compare file sizes with the list.
