Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
What does the Git command builder do?
You choose a Git operation such as commit, push or merge, fill in the fields the page shows you, and the tool builds the exact command for you to copy or add to a shell script.
How are branch names and messages with spaces handled?
Any argument containing a space or a special character is automatically wrapped in double quotes, so the generated command is always safe to paste into a terminal.
Can I build a whole shell script?
Yes. Press Add to script for each command you build. The script panel collects them in order, and you can download the result as a .sh file.
Does this tool run Git commands for me?
No. The tool only generates the command text. You run the commands yourself in a terminal where Git is installed.
