Habit Streak Tracker
Build better habits one day at a time. Add a habit, check in each day, and watch your streak grow. Your data never leaves your browser.
All data stays in this browser. Clearing browser data removes it — export a backup if your streaks matter to you.
How to use
- Add a habit with the form above — keep names short and specific.
- Press Check in once each day you do the habit. Consecutive days build your streak.
- The 7 dots show this week at a glance; the History button opens the 90-day grid.
- Use the edit and delete icons on each habit card to rename it or remove it (deletion asks for confirmation).
Tips
- Start with 2 or 3 small habits — big lists are easy to abandon.
- A missed day resets the streak to zero, but the history grid still shows all your progress.
- Export your data now and then as a backup, especially before switching devices.
Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
What is a habit streak?
A habit streak is the number of consecutive days you have checked in for a habit. Checking in every day keeps the streak alive, and a missed day resets it to zero.
How do I add a new habit?
Type the habit name in the input box and press Add habit. The habit appears in your list with a check-in button for today.
What does the 90-day history grid show?
The grid shows one square for each of the last 90 days. Filled squares are days you checked in, empty squares are days you missed.
How do export and import work?
Export downloads your habits and history as a JSON file you can keep as a backup. Import lets you load that file back into the tracker.
Where is my habit data stored?
All data stays in your browser’s localStorage on your own device. Clearing your browser data will permanently remove it, so use the export feature for backups.
