Hex File Viewer
Open any file to inspect it as a classic hex dump — offset, hex bytes and ASCII side by side — paged so even larger files stay fast. The file never leaves your device.
Hex dump will appear here.
How to use
- Choose any file from your device.
- Read each row: offset, 16 hex bytes, then the ASCII view.
- Use Previous and Next to page through the file.
Tips
- The left column is the byte position (offset), the middle is the raw data, the right shows readable text.
- Odd bytes at the very start of a file often reveal its real type (for example, PDFs start with “%PDF”).
- Dots in the text column are bytes with no printable character — that is normal for binary files.
Note: Non-printable bytes are shown as a dot in the ASCII column, exactly like classic hex editors. Nothing is uploaded — the file is read with the browser FileReader API.
Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
What does the hex file viewer show?
It opens any file as a classic hex dump: offset, 16 hex bytes and the ASCII view side by side, paged with Previous and Next buttons.
Is my file uploaded to a server?
No. The file never leaves your device; everything is read locally in your browser.
Can it open large files?
Yes. The paged view keeps even larger files fast, since only one page is shown at a time.
Can I edit the file in the viewer?
No. It is a viewer only; you can page through the hex dump with the Previous and Next buttons but cannot change the file's bytes.
