Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
How is loan eligibility calculated here?
This checker uses a 40 percent debt-to-income rule: it subtracts your existing EMIs from 40 percent of your monthly income to find your affordable EMI.
What inputs does the eligibility checker need?
Monthly income, existing monthly EMIs, desired loan amount, tenure and the annual interest rate.
What do the verdicts mean?
Eligible means the loan's EMI fits your affordable EMI. Reduce amount means the loan is too big, so the tool shows a smaller loan you could afford.
Is this the same decision a bank will make?
No. This is only an estimate. Banks apply their own criteria, credit checks and limits, so always confirm with your bank before making plans.
