Metronome
Keep your music practice perfectly on beat. This metronome clicks steadily from 30 to 240 BPM in common time signatures, with an accented first beat and a pulsing visual dot so you can play along with confidence.
Beat – of –
Andante
Ready. Press Start and play along.
How to use
- Set the tempo with the slider or number box (30–240 BPM), or press Tap Tempo repeatedly in rhythm to find a song's speed.
- Choose a time signature: 2/4, 3/4, 4/4 or 6/8.
- Press Start — the first beat of each bar is higher and louder (turn the accent off if you prefer all beats equal).
- The dot pulses and the beat counter shows where you are in the bar.
Tips
- Start slower than your target tempo and raise it a little each day — accuracy first, speed later.
- Keep the accent on beat one so you can feel where each bar starts.
- Practise difficult passages at half speed until they are smooth, then build back up.
- For long sessions, keep the volume moderate and take short breaks to protect your hearing.
Timing note: this metronome uses a lookahead scheduler, so the beat stays accurate even if the page is busy — far steadier than a simple timer.
