How does the reading speed test work?
Choose a passage length, press Start, read the passage at your normal speed, and press Done when you finish. The test divides the word count by your reading time to give your words per minute.
What passage lengths are available?
Short passages are around 150 words, medium passages are around 300 words, and long passages are around 500 words.
How is the comprehension quiz scored?
After you press Done, you answer 3 multiple choice questions about the passage. Each correct answer is worth one point, so the accuracy score is out of 3.
What do the speed category labels mean?
Below average is under 150 words per minute, average is 150 to 250, fast is 250 to 400, and very fast is over 400 words per minute.
