Stretch Reminder Timer
Sitting too long makes your neck, shoulders and back stiff. Set an interval, keep working, and the timer will tap you on the shoulder with a simple desk stretch.
Permission is only requested when you switch this on. Works best when this tab stays open in the background.
Timer is ready. Press Start to begin.
Stretches completed: 0
How to use
- Choose how often you want to be reminded to stretch.
- Press Start and keep working. The countdown keeps running even if you switch tabs.
- When the timer ends, do the stretch shown in the green card, then the timer restarts on its own.
- Switch on browser notifications if you want an alert when the tab is not visible.
Move gently and stop if anything hurts. These are simple mobility moves, not a workout. If you have an injury or a medical condition, check with a qualified health professional before doing new stretches.
Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
How does the stretch reminder timer work?
Pick an interval between 15 and 60 minutes, then press Start. When the countdown ends, the timer shows the next desk stretch from the 12-stretch library in a highlighted card and plays a gentle alert sound.
How many stretches does the library include?
The library includes 12 desk-friendly stretches for the neck, shoulders, back, wrists, hips and legs. Each stretch shows which body part it targets, step-by-step instructions and the number of seconds to hold.
How do I get notifications when a stretch is due?
Turn on the Enable notifications switch. Your browser will ask for permission once you switch it on, and only then. After that you get a system notification each time a stretch is due, even if you switch to another tab.
Is my stretch progress saved?
Yes. The number of completed stretches and the place in the stretch rotation are saved in your browser with local storage, so they survive a page refresh.
