Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
How does the Student Budget Planner work?
Enter your monthly income from pocket money, a part-time job and any other source, then enter your monthly expenses. The planner adds both sides automatically and shows your total income, total expenses, remaining balance and savings percentage.
What does the verdict message tell me?
The verdict compares your income with your expenses. It tells you if you have a surplus you can save, if your budget is exactly balanced, or if you are overspending and shows the exact overspend amount.
What does the savings percentage mean?
The savings percentage is your balance divided by your total income, multiplied by 100. It shows what share of your income is left unspent each month. A higher percentage means a healthier budget.
Is my budget data saved anywhere?
Pressing the Save Budget button stores your figures in your own browser using localStorage. The planner loads the saved figures automatically the next time you open it. Nothing is sent to any server.
Can I reset the planner and start fresh?
Yes. The Reset button clears all income and expense fields, sets every total back to zero and removes the saved data from your browser, so you can start a new budget.
