Tax Inclusive / Exclusive Calculator
Work out prices with and without sales tax in one place — enter any amount, set the tax rate, and say whether it already includes tax. You get the net price, the tax amount and the gross price instantly.
Formula (how it is worked out)
- Exclusive → Inclusive: Tax = Amount × Rate ÷ 100 | Total = Amount + Tax
- Inclusive → Exclusive: Net = Total ÷ (1 + Rate ÷ 100) | Tax = Total − Net
Example: at 18%, Rs 1,000 exclusive = Rs 1,180 inclusive. And Rs 1,180 inclusive = Rs 1,000 net + Rs 180 tax.
How to use
- Enter the amount and set the tax rate (default 18%).
- Tell whether the given amount includes tax or not.
- Press Calculate — you will get all three figures (net, tax, gross). Use Reverse to change the mode in one click.
