Good to know

  • Weights are compared in grams, volumes in milliliters, and pieces per piece — mixed types (for example grams vs liters) cannot be compared.
  • For weights you get the price per 100 g and per kg; for volumes the price per liter; for pieces the price per piece.
  • A lower unit price means the better deal only when quality is similar — taste and brand quality matter too.
  • Bulk is usually cheaper per unit, but only buy what you will use before it expires.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

How does the unit price comparison work?

Enter each product price, quantity and unit; the calculator converts both to a common base unit and shows the price per 100 g, per kg or per liter, plus the cheaper option.

Can I compare different units, like grams and liters?

No — weights (g, kg), volumes (ml, L) and pieces (pcs) are separate groups, and the tool warns you when the two products use incompatible units.

What inputs do I enter for each product?

An optional name, the price, the quantity and the unit for each product. The calculator converts both to a common base unit and tells you which deal is cheaper.

What does the comparison table show?

The price per 100 g, per kg or per litre for both products side by side, the cheaper option highlighted, and how much you save.
