How do I export my WhatsApp chat to analyze it?
Open the chat in WhatsApp, tap the contact or group name, choose Export Chat, then pick Without Media. Copy the text file contents and paste them into the box on this page, or upload the file directly.
What statistics does the analyzer show?
Total messages, messages per person with a bar list, the most active hour of day as a chart, the most active day of the week, the top 10 words, the busiest date, and the first and last message dates.
Is my chat data private?
Yes. Everything runs in your own browser. Nothing is uploaded to any server, and your chat text never leaves your device.
What happens with lines that do not match the export format?
Lines that do not match the normal export format, such as system notices or broken lines, are skipped gracefully and reported as skipped lines so you know what was left out.
